My U.S. City Escapade

This summer my sister Charlotte and her husband Peter moved to New York City for an internship Peter was doing with L'Oreal. Sharon and I decided that we should take advantage of having them so close by (and when I say close by, I mean within driving distance), and par-tay in Manhattan. This little trip worked in perfectly with my plans because I was already planning on taking some days off of work to visit various places for school orientation and such. We caught a bus in Boston that would take us directly to New York with one short pit stop in Connecticut.

Finally arriving in Chinatown after a 4 hour bus ride from Boston. It was my very first time in New york. A very momentous occasion! Charlotte, Peter and Amelia were there to meet us.

Taking a picture with the cute toy solider at FAO Schwartz! I felt like an asian tourist at Disneywaorld in that store! Too good to be true!
These stuff aninals were like $800. Charlotte wouldn't buy me one... That's sibling love for you!
Drinking in the night life with the babes. Times Square was AM.AZ.ING. It completely lived up to all of my expectations! For sure one of my new favorite places.
Sisters. All in different shades of purple. Behaving like true tourists.

Can you see itty bitty lady liberty in the background? We weren't able to visit the statue or Ellis Island while I was there, but seeing it even from a far distance was seriously a dream come true! Charlotte serenaded us all with "There Are No Cats in America" As we crossed over to Battery Park.
